Having repaired countless roofs following Hurricane Ian, we were contacted by a homeowner looking for a new roof system that would endure any environment.
Located in the heart of Fort Myers near beautiful McGregor, this stunning home was unfortunately damaged from the storm. With its existing shingle roof compromised, we were asked to provide a new roof system.Â
With its unique challenges, this project included coverage of both sloped and flat areas of the roof system. Having served the roofing needs of Southwest Florida since 1989, our team was surely up to the task!
Once contracted and mobilized, our roofing teams went to work removing the existing shingles to expose the roof’s decking. All wall flashing was also removed from behind siding to inspect, and replace any damaged or rotten wood prior to fastening per code. We installed new Polyglass MTS underlayment over the entire roof deck, along with new flashing on the walls and counter flashing at the wall to roof intersection. Following the removal of the existing roof and appropriate nail fastening on the flat roof deck, we installed new SA Certainteed base sheet over the entire area along with counter flashing, wall flashing, and Sa Certainteed cap sheet.
Utilizing Sentrigard’s slate gray 24 gauge standing seam metal roof panels along with stainless screws, this roof began to take shape. Once completed, we finished the project off with new metal drip edge, valley metal, and vents in standard colors.
