When this condominium’s roof system began to fail, our team was contacted to protect their building and residents.
Overlooking Little Hickory Bay, the Bridgewater Condominium in Bonita Springs, FL is a midrise condominium complex located just minutes from the beautiful Barefoot Beach. Having weathered several major storms and Southwest Florida’s regular harsh climate, our team was contacted to replace the building’s roof structure when it began to fail beyond repair.
Once contracted, our team went to work cleaning the roof, and removing any existing debris. We then worked to remove the existing roofing system down to the concrete deck. This allowed our teams to work efficiently to install Carlisle’s SureMB 90TG base sheet to the deck, which acts a as a temporary roof/vaper barrier/secondary water barrier. A new 1/4″ tapered iso insulation system with a R-20 average was also installed according to Carlisle manufacturer requirements.
Installation of 80 mil Carlisle Sure-Flex FleeceBACK (135) white PVC membrane fully adhered in Flexible Fast 100 adhesive commenced, along with the addition of flashing on all parapet walls with 60 mil PVC membrane. Additionally, all air conditioning and equipment legs received flashing, along with each vent and pipe penetration on the roof per Carlisle specifications. Walkway pads were also placed on the service side of each a/c condenser unit residing on the roof.
Working on this project with the building’s management team was a great pleasure, and we couldn’t be happier with the final product. This beautiful roof will serve the condominium well for years to come!
