NAPLES, FLORIDA (February 4, 2013) West Coast FL Enterprises is helping to revitalize the city by bringing a Naples iconic 1966 building back to life. The project includes the restoration of a building located near the corner of Golden Gate Parkway and 951, in front of the Golden Gate Country Club and Hotel. The iconic structure, built in 1966, is a more than 18,000-square-foot, two story building.

“It was originally a “Wine ’em and Dine ’em” spot for out of state investors," said Scott Otey, West Coast FL Enterprises. “The locals would fly them in to the Naples airports (either radio road or the Wing Air Park on Rattlesnake Hammock) and would then fly them around looking at land. After that, they would put them up in this building and show them a good time.”

The most recent businesses to occupy the building were JD Jags Ribhouse & Grill, JD Jags Sports Bar and Gameroom, and Congas Night Club. The building has since changed hands a few times, and is now owned by local developer Lemac, LLC. These owners recently decided not to open the planned Collier Banquet Center, which had been “coming soon” there for a couple of years. However, the vacant, two-story building is now being readied for prospective tenants. Lemac plans to lease it to either a franchise or another business venture. In preparation for this, West Coast FL Enterprises was hired to restore the building, giving its exterior a more modern look.

West Coast FL Enterprises will be doing virtually all of the restoration work – excluding electrical, mechanical, and plumbing. To date, they have removed the existing roof and roof decking structure, siding, stucco, stone, and all of the existing wood truss mansards. The building now has a new upper roof deck and roof system, all new wood trusses on the facade, and will have all new metal standing seam roof panels on the mansard. In addition, an old concrete stair tower on the rear of the building has been removed. They will now be converting the center section of the interior into a two-story level by removing a large section of the second floor.

“We will soon be installing the new metal roof, new stucco siding, new windows and much more!” added Otey. “We are very excited to be working on such a cool project, and for the opportunity to help bring this iconic building back to life.”

The project is slated to be completed by the beginning of February. For more information, contact West Coast Florida Enterprises at (239) 433-9777.
